Many of you know Dr. Howard Giddens. Many others of you have read about him here. Dr. Giddens, my mentor and adopted father, passed away on Monday at age 97. We are in Macon for his funeral, which will take place on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Macon.
I will post a full tribute in the next few days.

I was fortunate enought to be a student and friend of Dr Giddens from 1980-84. I was in his Old Testament Classes and Homiletics. He preached at my Ordination. I was proud then and now to have been one of Doc's boys. I have since moved to Boston,MA so I will not able to be at the Memorial. My heart will be there though with Gladys and all the others who will remmeber the loving and caring nature of this Great man of God.
